South Plainfield - Gerald E. "Gerry" Mickus, 59, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at home.
Born and raised in South Plainfield, Gerry is a graduate of South Plainfield High School. He was currently working as an engineer for ConRail. Gerry was a member of the Metuchen Elks Lodge 1914.
Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Inez Mickus, surviving are his devoted wife of 25 years, Linda (Iremonger) Mickus of South Plainfield; two brothers, Rodger Mickus of Flanders and Steven Mickus of Michigan. He also leaves behind his two malamutes, Aurora and Phoenix.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
Family and friend May attend visitation on Sunday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield NJ 07080.
