Piscataway - Robert E. Walsh, Sr. 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home with his family at his side.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Bob settled to Piscataway, NJ in 1971 where he and his wife of 50 years raised four sons.
Bob had served in the Army National Guard for six years.
He retired 12 years ago from Smith Barney & Co. of NYC, where he worked as an assistant V.P. in the Margins Department.
His hobbies included photography, model trains and he was an avid New York Yankees Fan.
Predeceased by his daughter in law, Christina who died in 2004, he is survived by wife; Eileen Taussig, four sons; Bob of East Windsor, Michael ( Samira ) of Manville, Thomas ( Elaine ) of Westville, NJ and Brian (Brooke) of Cranford, brother; John Walsh and sister; Mary Elizabeth Casey. Also surviving are five beloved granddaughters; Caitlin, Brenna, Aubrey, Cassidy and Amanda and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, February, 24, 2017 at 9:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piscataway at 10:30 AM.
Interment will follow mass in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ
Family and friends, may join together for visitation on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
