Obituary of Ann M. Sideck

South Plainfield - Ann M. Sideck, 93, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in Kaska, Pa, Ann resided in South Plainfield for most of her life. She worked for Bell Telephone, General Motors in Linden making parts for airplanes during WWII and Cornell Dubilier in South Plainfield prior to the full time job of raising her two children. A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield, Ann was one of the original members of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was known for her apple pies. She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years John F. Sideck, who died in July of 2012, and ten siblings. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; Jon and Harriet Sideck of South Plainfield, David and Jan Sideck of Camp Hill PA, three grandchildren; Lesley Sideck of South Plainfield, Colleen Sideck and Mark Sideck of Camp Hill, PA, and a sister Florence O'Neil of Westfield, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 9AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 10 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Friday from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, 2520 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
