Obituary of Carl Folke Apell

Atlantic Highlands - Carl Folke Apell, 69, died suddenly Sunday, April 1, 2018 at home. Born and raised in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, Carl has resided in the Atlantic Highlands for almost 30 years. He primarily worked as a truck driver for various companies, most recently for U - Haul as a transporter. A NASCAR fan, Carl enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson. He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly as "Uncle Carl" Predeceased by his parents, Folke and Karin Apell and brother in law, Charles; surviving are his sister, Brigitta Ippolito; brother, Henry and longtime friend, Eileen Lostetter. He will also be missed by his four nieces and nephews, Christopher, Karin, Andrew and Stephanie Marie and three great nephews, Charlie, Nick and Sam. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4-8PM in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road Piscataway NJ 08854.
