Edison, NJ Joseph A. Micale, 90, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Brockway, PA to his late parents Peter and Mary (Mazza) Micale, Joseph grew up in New Brunswick, moved to Piscataway in 1955 and settled to Edison in 2012.Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he faithfully served his country during WWII. While working at Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick as a Senior Lab Technician, he also served on their rescue squad. Joseph was an original Charter Member of the River Road Rescue Squad and was very active with St. Francis Cabrini Church in Piscataway. He served as an usher for the 8:15 am mass on Sunday and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 11017 as a 3rd Degree Knight.He also belonged to the American Legion Unit 471 in Iselin, the Piscataway Seniors, the traveling seniors and was proud to be among the members of the 447th Bomb Group Squadron 711 as an Engineer Gunner.He is predeceased by his first wife Louise (Pino) who died in 1952, his second wife Madeline (Leone) in 1992 and by his four siblings.Joseph leaves behind his loving children; Michael Micale of Houston, TX and Catherine Bell and her husband Bill of Lee's Summit, MO. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Charles J. Bell and his wife Carol and William C. Bell, his adored great-granddaughter Taylor Bell and his special friend Rita Lavagna. Relatives and friends may attend the visitation in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 5-7pm and on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 8:45 am until 9:15 am.Funeral services will begin 9:15 am in the funeral home on Monday, October 27, 2014 followed by a 10:00 am mass at St. Francis Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park also in Piscataway.
