Katie: I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Dad and I were classmates for 12 years in Wynnewood. After graduation I only saw him at class reunions. He was always smiling and upbeat and so much fun to talk with. And how his face would light up when he talked about you. He loved you very much. I know you will miss him. We too will miss our lifelong friend.

Katie, As a brother-in-law and friend, he was great. He was always wanting to help me when he came at Christmas time and anything that I need done, he was more than willing to do it. He and his brother were great friends and close to one another. He will be forever missed and Christmas will not be the same this year without him. He and his brother always went Christmas shopping together and it always took the better part of the day. We miss you brother. John and Jean Pierce Houston, Tx.

I first met Don back in 2009 when we first started our Operations Research Analyst positions together. Upon initial interaction with Don, I can tell that he was a genuine and classy man. Years later, those same characteristics were still true. There was no mistaking who Don was. He was an outstanding friend, coworker, and mentor and I am glad that I had the opportunity and privilege to have met him. Although he will no longer physically be here, I believe that Don will continue to live through each individual that he has touched by virtue of the lessons that he has taught and shared.

Don, it was a pleasure knowing you. I enjoyed many of the technical discussions that we had when you worked in the Reliability group of Bell Labs and valued greatly your inputs. I remember asking you a few years ago about your retirement plans. For what I read, I guess you never did retire: as in the old movies, you died with your boots on. Don, Rest in Peace now.
