Obituary of Margaret K. Barich

Margaret K. Barich nee Simicev, 83, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2017 at Arista Care in South Plainfield. Born in Croatia to the late Josef and Matija Simicev, she married Lucian Barich in 1953, before moving to Philadelphia, PA, where they raised their family. Margaret and Lucian then retired in Piscataway in 1993, and were parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was a devout Catholic. Most of all, she enjoyed the quality time spent with her cherished family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lucian Barich in 1996, and her dear siblings, Sister M. Laura, Marija Simunov, and Branko Simicev. Surviving are her loving children, Michael Barich and wife Joan of Gambier, OH, Marie Rufo and husband John of Abington, PA, and Denise Muglia and husband Alfonse of South Plainfield, her cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Gina (Andrew), Angela, Alexandra, Anthony, Alfonse, Andrea, and her great grandson Jack. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 8:30-9:30AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, New Market Road, Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to the Our Lady of Fatima Campaign, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
