Obituary of Sally M Basha

Sally M. Basha nee Cancellate, 92, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Plainfield to the late Patrick and Margaret (Santo) Cancellate, she was a former resident of South Plainfield. Sally was a seamstress before being a homemaker taking care of her beloved family. She was on the Board of Directors for Lake Nelson Cemetery in Piscataway and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church in South Plainfield. Sally was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; who enjoyed cooking, baking, and the quality time spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her dear siblings, Anthony, Phillip, and Anne, and her beloved husband James in 1995. Surviving are her loving children, Sally and husband William, and James and wife JoAnn; her dear step children, Judith and Jean; her cherished grandchildren, Jamie and husband Lewis, Lisa, Brian and fiancé Sweeney, as well as her nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 120 Kosciusko Avenue, South Plainfield.
