Obituary of Patrick J. Cerillo

Patrick J. Cerillo, Jr., 85, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on December 31st 2016 at his home. Born and raised in Plainfield to the late Patrick J. Sr. and Jennie Cerillo, he was a longtime Plainfield resident before his retirement, settling in Middlesex and Piscataway. Mr. Cerillo was the owner/operator of Cerillo Brothers Inc. General Contractors out of Plainfield for many years, and was granted a U.S. Patent on his invention of a masonry tool. After his retirement, Patrick went on to work part time at Vincenzo's Restaurant in Middlesex as a bartender. Patrick enjoyed writing, and was known to keep journals, most of all, he enjoyed the quality time spent with his cherished family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Cerillo. Surviving are his beloved wife, Dolores Nardozzi Cerillo, his loving children, Jennifer Emanuel, Lee Culver and husband Ron, Cheryl Trozzi and husband Mark, Dottie Ortega and husband Ray, Patrick J. Cerillo, III and wife Cindy, and Anthony DeFilippis wife Denise, his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Marie, Amy, Armin(Bud), April, and Anthony, Jr., and seven great grandchildren, Gianni, Conner, Shane, Morgan, Jack, Julian, and Alivia, his siblings, Patti Vertullo, Louie Cerillo, Terri Cerillo, and Anthony Cerillo and wife Ginny, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4th 2017, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum in Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made in Patrick's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project. or Shriner Children's Hospitals
