Middlesex, NJ Elizabeth H. Kline, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Abingdon Care Center in Green Brook. Born in Irvington to her late parents Joseph and Mary (Heri) Vollum, she grew up in Hillside until settling to Middlesex in 2011. Whether it was gardening or taking care of her lawn, Elizabeth was the happiest when she spent time outside. In her earlier years, she was a waitress at the Sunset Bowling Lanes located in Hillside.She is predeceased by her husband Wilbur who died in 1985 and her siblings; Joseph and Paul Vollum and Veronica Terry.Elizabeth leaves behind her loving son Richard W. and his wife Pauline Kline of Middlesex and her adored grandson Christopher J. Kline of Jersey City.Funeral services will begin 10:00 am on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 with burial being held privately at Hollywood Memorial Park located in Union.Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 9:30 am until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 would be appreciated.
