Obituary of Queen Ester Roby

Piscataway- Queen Roby, 58, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison following a sudden illness. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to the late King David Roby Sr. And mother Rebecca Rosie Lee Roby, Queen was one of nine children. She settled to Piscataway, NJ in 2005. She was a dedicated employee of Prevost Coach Builders in Chicago and transferred to their South Plainfield, NJ facility in 2005 upon their request. Additional, she worked part time in the South Plainfield Home Depot where she found great enjoyment in helping design kitchens. Predeceased by her father and one sibling surviving are her mother, her husband, Arland Melchor, five children; Latanya Roby, Raymond, Ronald, David Roby and Sherry Hudson, nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. As well as a host of extend family, friends and co workers who will miss her dearly. Her homecoming services and burial will take place in Chicago at the end of week. Family, friends and coworkers here locally in New Jersey are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
