Peter Harry Stamile, Sr. 91, of Piscataway, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 16th 2016 .
Born in South Plainfield, NJ to the late Margaret and Dominic Stamile, he went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
Mr. Stamile was a skilled mechanic, and was known for his hard working demeanor and endless generosity. He was an elegant and proud man, who was fondly known as "Uncle Harry" to his many friends. Peter was well known for his annual venison parties and his love of hot peppers. He loved traveling to Europe, especially Italy; and enjoyed the beauty of his garden and holiday decorating with his beloved wife. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his dear siblings, Thomas, Anton, and Vincent Stamile, and Mary Fratesi, Stella Fratesi, and Carmela Cohen.
Surviving are his beloved wife Joan Foldhazi Stamile, his children, Donna Stelacio and husband Anthony, Peter Stamile, Jr., his step-children Joan Kuchie and husband Robert, Stephen Novak and wife Samantha, grandchildren, Kelle McWade and Shawn and Shannon Porch, Joan Maldonado and husband David, Robert, Nicholas and Krista Kuchie, Brianna and Stephen Novak, Michael Demko, Mary Jane Counselman, Mathew Demko, his seven great-grandchildren, his brother Donald Stamile, and adored nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7th 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. A prayer service will be held with military honors presented at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
