Obituary of Richard W. Platz

Middlesex - Richard W. Platz, 82, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Eastern Star Nursing Home in Bridgewater. Born in the Bronx, Richard was a lifelong resident of Middlesex until retiring to South Carolina twenty years ago. He was employed by New Jersey Office Supply Company in Whippany until moving to South Carolina where he then worked for the city. Richard enjoyed being outside in his yard, loved music and dancing and was always the life of the party. He was a Bound Brook Boy Scouts Leader and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bound Brook. Predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2005, Richard leaves behind his three loving daughters; Carol Ann Heney and her significant other John Weiner of Vineland, Janice Dunn and her husband Richard of Piscataway and Lori Stolarick and Joe (Richard's buddy!) of Middlesex, his five dear grandchildren; Jason Heney and his wife Michelle, Matthew Heney, Lisa Heney, Jonathan Dunn and Kevin Dunn, three adored great-granddaughters; Caitlyn, Erin and Cadence, his brother Edward and his wife Abigail of North Carolina, his sister-in-law Laura of Middlesex, and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. At the request of the Platz family, all funeral services have been held privately.
