Obituary of Margaret Rafferty

Margaret Kovacs Rafferty went home to our Lord on July 22, 2017; she was 99 years old. She was born in Raritan, NJ on October 19, 1917 to the late Joseph and Anna Kovacs. She lived in NJ for most of her life and the last 12 years in Kernersville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Rafferty Sr. and siblings Charles Kovacs, Rose Gural and Ann Sutton.
She is survived by her children Thomas Rafferty Jr, Jackie Tickerhoff (David),and Janet Batha (Ronald); grandchildren Mark Tickerhoff (Stephanie), Jeffrey Tickerhoff (Danielle), Jessica Batha, and Melissa Batha; and great-grandchildren, Thomas, Autumn, Amber, and Matthew.
Her gentle spirit of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 E Lincoln Ave, Piscataway Township, NJ 08854.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
