Piscataway, NJ - Edgar Estrada, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home with his loving and supportive family at his bedside. Born in Apalit, Philippines to his parents Phil and Milagros Canlas Estrada, he moved to the United States in 1974. He lived in Minneapolis, New York and Jersey City before settling to Piscataway in 1981. Edgar was the CFO for the non-profit organization The Seaman's Church Institute located in Manhattan. Prior to becoming the CFO, he worked as a controller. He had a love for singing and karaoke, especially the music of Elvis. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years Magdalena Morales Estrada and their four children; Edwin and his wife Gina of the Philippines, Emily Salud and her husband Emeritus of Bloomfield, Madeline Camera and her husband Jonny of Keyport and Jaclyn Delarosa of Seattle. He also leaves behind four grandchildren Ethan, Emilia, Samantha, and Evan; ten siblings; Ming, Evelyn, Tess, Marissa, Medel, Dante, Anthony, Wilma, Maila and Adelina; and lastly, his two loyal dogs Happy and Kaya. Visitation will take place in South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 9:15 am until 9:45 am. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9:45 am followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Prayers will follow in the chapel of Somerset Hills Memorial Park located in Basking Ridge.
