Bridgewater, NJ - Arthur Baudendistel, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Newark, NJ to his late parents Arthur and Marie (Scott) Baudendistel, he grew up in Elizabeth, spent twenty-five years in Union and settled to Bridgewater two years ago. Serving his country in the United States Navy, Arthur was honorably discharged in 1956. Arthur retired from the County of Union in 1991 where he worked for thirty-four years as a Purchasing Agent. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and loved to have a good time. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Predeceased by his wife Lois and son Kurt, Arthur leaves behind his loving family; son Ken and his wife Hana Baudendistel of Dunellen, daughter-in-law Margaret Ann Halleck of Jackson, sister Dolores Irving of Toms River and four grandchildren; Jennifer, Nicole, Brian and Rachel. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 8:00 am until 8:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 beginning 9:00 am at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Dunellen. Arthur will be laid to rest beside his wife at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Dunellen VFW Post #5479, 201 Prospect Avenue, Dunellen, NJ 08812 would be appreciated.
