Obituary of Rose Mazzucco

Lawrenceville, NJ Rose (Verme) Mazzucco, 96, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Morris Hall Assisted Living in Lawrenceville. Born in New York City to her late parents Angelo and Vita (Costa) Verme, she spent most of her life in Middlesex, moving to the assisted living in 2012.Rose enjoyed her time with her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, loved to read and had a passion for roses in her back yard. Rose was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish and belonged to their Altar Rosary Society.She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Alex Mazzucco, her son Gerard, daughter Marianne and brother Louis Verme.Rose leaves behind her loving daughter Pam Walters and her husband Gary of Mercerville, brother James Verme and his wife Martha of Germantown, MD and her daughter-in-law Susan Serpico and her husband Dominic. Rose will be missed by her five adored grandchildren; Matthew Mazzucco, Marianne McCrann and her husband Matthew, Lisa Pullen and her husband David, Paul Mazzucco and his wife Joanne and Carolyn Walters and by her four cherished great-grandchildren; Michael, Allison, Madison and Annaleigh.Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 beginning 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex with burial to follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) would be appreciated.
