Obituary of James Holloway

It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of the Rock of our family, James Holloway who passed on December 22, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. James was born in Coy, Alabama in 1938 to the late Paul and Marzilla Holloway. After attending school in Alabama and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he moved to New Jersey where he met and married his wife of 51 years, Victoria (Vicki) Corrier in 1964. James worked as a baker and a few years later began working as a Longshoreman until retiring. He is now a member of the Local 1233 Longshoreman's Retiree Association. James is also a member of the Big Boys Social Club where he traveled every year to the Super Bowl since the early 1980s. James was the most giving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and extraordinary person who is well loved by all. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria, son James Jr. (Annie), Daughter Linda (Tariq), Grandsons Ra-Sean and Logan, his brother Earl Holloway (Sarah), his sister Rose Jones (Otis), his sister-in-law Juanita Lang (Wallace), his aunt Josephine Knight, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers Paul Holloway (Betty), Andrew Holloway, Sylvester Holloway (Maude), his sister Lillian Dumas (Lee), brother-in-law Arthur Corrier (Carol), and son-in-law Arthur Tariq Simms (Linda).
