Ama was 87 years old when she passed. She had a mind sharper than most and could remember the most miniscule details of her sons childhoods. She could also recall the stories behind the births of her grandchildren. Family memories were the ones she held closest. She was strong even during the most trying of times. She loved spending time with her family-- chatting, laughing, and eating food. Despite knowing little English, she managed to make friends all around the neighborhood. Ama is survived by her three sons: Dharma, Dhruba, and Narendra Khanal, as well as her five grandkids and four siblings.
