Obituary of Inez McKenzie

Inez Bursina Carby Mckenzie, affectionately called "Ms. Mac, Sissy, Aunt Nez," by many of her close family and friends, was the second of four siblings. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she moved to the United States in the late 1950's. Inez was a retired nurse who enjoyed most of all spending time with her grandchildren, being an active member of the Piscataway Senior Center and was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Whether one knew Inez well or may have met her briefly, all would agree on one thingshe always had a polite greeting and a smile. If you spent enough time with her you would quickly learn that she was a wonderful cook, who always has some home-cooked treats to offer to guests at her home. Inez loved life, celebrations, treating people with respect, and lived her life with joy in her heart and appreciation for all the blessings that the Lord has bestowed on her.Inez passed away February 3, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Paule McKenzie of Piscataway; her siblings Winnifred, Ferdinand and Dezrin, and her grandchildren, Constance, Rhea and Darius; nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends, both old and new.Visitation hours are Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, New Jersey. Funeral services will begin Friday February 13th at 9:00 am from the Piscataway Funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Van Winkle Place, Piscataway. Interment will be in the Resurrection Burial Park on Hoes Lane, in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Our Lady of Fatima Church Capital Campaign (50 Van Winkle Place, Piscataway, NY 08854) or the Piscataway Senior Center (700 Buena Vista Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854), in memory of Inez Mckenzie.
