Obituary of John Romeo

John Romeo, 85, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2017. Born and raised in Oppido Mamertina, Reggio, Calabria, Italy, John arrived to the Unites States in 1953 and resided in North Plainfield before settling in Piscataway in 1984. Mr. Romeo was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway for many years and was a former member of the Piscataway Italian American Club. He was preceded in death by his dear son Frank Surviving are his beloved wife Maria Mazzasatti Romeo, his loving children, Nancy Rhoades and husband Kevin of Hillsborough and Dominic and wife Stacey of Toms River, his seven cherished grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as his extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 9:00AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Piscataway. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00PM at the funeral home Piscataway.
