Obituary of Lillian Mary Roesch

Lillian Mary Darden Roesch, 91, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Suffolk, Virginia to the later James and Leontine Walter, Lillian resided in South Plainfield for many years before relocating to Brighton Gardens in Edison.
She graduated cum laude from Kean College in 1985 at age 59 after 8 years of part-time studies with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. She was a part time educator with the Clark and Westfield board of education as well as the long time choir director at St. Genevieve Church in Elizabeth, NJ.
Lillian also served as chaplain of the Westfield chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for several years. She had a deep faith, an unequivocal love for her family and the love for her country was quite evident.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending her time with family, she is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Theodore A. Roesch.
Surviving are her children, Elizabeth DeVincenzo and her husband Nicholas, James E. Roesch and his wife Olga, Patricia Ambielli and her husband Robert, Michael Roesch and his wife Diane and John Roesch and his wife Ranae; her ten grandchildren; Nicholas (Sabrina) DeVincenzo, Maureen (Brandon) Yaconis, Steven (Michelle) and Eric (Danielle) Ambielli, Kaitlyn and Allyson Roesch, and John, Brian, Matthew and Joshua Roesch, her six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 9AM in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Plainfield at 10AM.
Interment will be in the Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, NJ.
Visitation hours are Monday from 3-7PM at in the funeral home.
