Middlesex, NJ - Robert W. Reedy, Jr., 64, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Born in Plainfield to his late parents Robert W. Reedy, Sr. and Evelyn Brinkerhoff, he has been a lifelong resident of Middlesex. Robert was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after faithfully serving his country while stationed at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. Formerly employed by American Cyanamid in Bound Brook and J.H. Berge in South Plainfield, Robert was an avid sport fan, having a love for the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He collected antique glassware and hockey cards and he liked to go fishing. He is survived by his wife Judith (Zanetti) Reedy of Middlesex, his son Robert Shane Reedy of South Bound Brook and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his extended family; sister-in-law Betsy Howarth of Middlesex, brother-in-law Jim Zanetti and his wife Cheryl of Waretown, sister-in-law Kay Liszewski and her husband Mark of Bridgewater and sister-in-law Joanne Shuscavage and her husband Steve of Princeton. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a 7:45 pm religious service. At the request of the family, cremation will be taken place privately. In lieu of flowers, donation sent to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, NJ Metro Chapter, Aspen Corporate Park 1, 1480 U.S. Highway 9 North, Suite 301, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
