Obituary of Edward Andrew Billian

Edward A. Billian, Jr., 88 of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2018 at Somerset Valley Nursing Home in Bridgewater.
Born in Plainfield to the late Edward A. and Helen (Holmes) Billian, Edward has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield.
Mr. Billian proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He went on to work as a repair and installation technician with NJ Bell for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and loved gardening and being outdoors. Edward also liked hunting, fishing, boating and deep sea fishing. As an avid outdoorsman, he was a former member and treasurer with the Raritan Valley Hunting Club.
Predeceased by his sisters Dolores Saverd, Edna Osmus and grandson Edward A. Billian, IV, Surviving are his beloved wife Theresa (Linger) Billian , his dear children Edward A. Billian, III and his wife Gail of Holland Township, Nancy A. McGivney and her husband Dan of St. Petersburg, FL, Pamela J. Goldfarb and her husband Stan of Vero Beach, FL and John Billian of South Plainfield his six cherished grandchildren, Terry, James, Genny, Anna, Ryan and Dylan, his dear siblings, Diane Murphy and husband Tom of Hobe Sound, FL and Michael D. Billian and his wife Lisa of South Plainfield as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00PM at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home with military honors.
