Bridgewater - John J. Wolf, 89, died on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Eastern Star Nursing Home in Bridgewater with his loving wife at his side. Born in Plainfield, John grew up in the Arbor Section of Piscataway and had lived in Dunellen most of his life. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army and belonged to the Somerville American Legion Post 12. John retired as a steel worker with Savor & Glacier located in Middlesex. He enjoyed woodworking and loved making clocks, was a former member of the Arbor Rescue Squad, Somerville Elks and St. John's Catholic Church in Dunellen. He is predeceased by his parents, Anton and Helen Wolf and by four siblings. John leaves behind his wife Esther, three sons; Phil (Cheryl) of Middlesex, Robert (Pamela) of Jackson, Edward (Beverly) of Reading, PA, brother Charles Wolf of Arizona, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one on the way. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6pm until 9pm and on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held 11:30 am in the funeral home on Friday, October 2, 2015 followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery located in Scotch Plains.
