Obituary of Theresa L. Milko

Bound Brook, NJ Theresa L. (Krzysztofiak) Milko, 93, entered into eternal life at her residence in Bound Brook surrounded by her children on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Born in Newark to her late parents John and Kataszyna (Bozek) Krzysztofiak, She was raised in Newark, moved to Irvington after marriage, retired with her husband Bill in 1985 to the family summer home in Ortley Beach before joining her daughter in Bound Brook in 2010. Theresa worked at Shiftman Bros. in Newark for 19 years before becoming a full time homemaker. Theresa's passion was her family; she worked tirelessly to do everything in her power to provide for their health and spiritual well-being. Theresa's Catholic faith was paramount in her life. She was proud Polish American. Living at the Jersey Shore Theresa loved boating, crabbing and all the joys living at the shore offered. Theresa also enjoyed reading, playing cards, word puzzles and she could often be found with her lifelong lady friends from the old neighborhood, "The Modernetts."She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband William of sixty years in 2006 and by six siblings. Theresa leaves behind her devoted children; William R. Milko and his wife Audrey of Kearny, Catherine Milko of Bound Brook and Ken Milko and his wife Laurie of Toms River and her three adored grandchildren; Alec, Gavin and Lara Milko. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 8:30 am until 9:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 beginning 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 201 Vosseller Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805 followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
