Obituary of Edward M. Kobilis

Edward Kobilis, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at home. Born in Livingston, Eddie was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. He graduated from South Plainfield High School in 2016 and furthered his education at the Altierus Institute in South Plainfield recently earning his Electrical Technician Degree. Currently, Eddie was working at Sheelen's Crossing in Fanwood and he enjoyed going to the gym, in particular Retro Fitness in Edison and was also a devout Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers fan. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and is survived by his loving parents; Maryann (Bali) and Edward and sister and future brother in law; Michelle Kobilis and Joseph Sorrentino all of South Plainfield. Also surviving are several loving relatives and extended friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, July 8, 2018 beginning at 2pm followed by a funeral service at 5:30pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Cremation Services will take place privately and his cremated remains will be laid to rest in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains at a later date.
