Obituary of John P. Fernandez

Bound Brook, NJ - John P. Fernandez, 58, passed away suddenly at his residence in the early hours of July 25, 2018. Born in Somerville, John has remained in the Somerset/Middlesex County all his life. He was currently employed as a Supervisor with AutoZone in Bound Brook. John lived a very social life and could strike up a conversation with anyone he crossed paths with. He was involved with the Somerville Legion Post 12 where he served as Commander of the S.A.L. several times. John was a three time Past Exalted Ruler and Elk of the Year with the Middlesex Elks #1488 and belonged to the Bound Brook Moose Club. Formerly, John enjoyed amateur photography and was President of the Warren Township Rescue Squad. John leaves behind his loving wife Linda (Kensinger) Fernandez and her three sons; Andy, Jason and Adrienne and Rob and Kristen. John will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Chloe, Julianna and Lucas. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Beginning 5:30 pm, there will be an Elks service as well as an American Legion service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family, c/o Middlesex Funeral Home would be deeply appreciated.
