Obituary of Ronald Norman Scofield

Ronald Norman Scofield, 75, of Piscataway, entered into eternal rest the morning of August 7, 2018 at his home. Born in Elizabeth to the late Russell R. Sr. and Norma Scofield, he was raised in Fords, NJ and moved back to Elizabeth with his family as a teenager. He went on to graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School and worked at the Elmora Theater in Elizabeth. Mr. Scofield started his long time career in Information Technology (I.T.) working for several companies before starting with Sealand Service IT and Grand Union Computer Debt, before going on to the State of New Jersey Judicial IT and computer equipment. Ronald was a former resident of Middlesex before settling in Piscataway in 1972 He was a Piscataway Little League grounds keeper for five years. He was an avid fan and supportive of the Super Chief Band for six years. Mr. Scofield was known as a hardworking and loving man who enjoyed the quality time spent with his cherished family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russel R. Scofield, Sr. and Norma Scofield-Connell and his sister Patty Schroth. Surviving are his long time sweetheart, his beloved wife (wiffie) of 54 years, Arlene F. Scofield (nee Pyzik), his loving children, Donna and husband Fran Garry, James Scofield, Robert Scofield, William Scofield and longtime partner Jen Hibbs, his dear siblings, Darlene Burack and husband Gary, Russell R. Scofield, Jr, Norman Scofield and wife Sandy, his adored grandchildren Kristen Campbell, Stephen, Brian, Danny, Tyler, and Brynna, as well as his beloved long time friend Rev. Edward Szpiech and half-sister Jacqueline Bryce Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Piscataway. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM.
