Obituary of Margaret F. Ward

Keyport - Margaret F. Ward (née Vaughan) 86, died Tuesday October 16, 2018 at home. Born in Ireland, Margaret immigrated to the United States in 1949 to Brooklyn, NY. She resided in South Plainfield for the majority of her life before relocating to Keyport. An avid reader, Margaret loved to dance and try new recipes. She enjoyed crocheting for her children and grandchildren, knitting and keeping in touch with family and friends, near and far on Facebook. Predeceased by her son, Brendan A. Ward, Jr.; surviving are her four children, Diane Koch, Irene Harrah, Margaret Simmonds and Patrick Ward and two sisters, Agnes Coyne and Noreen Williams. She will also be missed by her twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, six great-great children and extended family. Family and friends may gather on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 1-4PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
