Pittstown, NJ - Adeline (Henderson) Cella, 98, known to many as Addie, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown. Born in Bedminster to the late Andrew and Carrie (Perine) Henderson, Addie lived in Middlesex prior to settling to Pittstown about eleven years ago.
For many years, Addie worked at the Stone Arch Care Center (now known as Country Arch Care Center) as a nurse's aide, retiring at the age of sixty. She enjoyed gardening and was formerly active with Our Lady of Mount Virgin Rosary Altar Society and the Senior Citizens of Clinton.
Predeceased by her husband Anthony, daughter Judith Biddle and her sister Martha Bergen, Addie leaves behind her daughters; Carol Schmidt and her husband Luther of Lebanon, Sharon Cella of Oregon and Son-in-law Thomas Biddle of Georgia. She will be missed by her six grandchildren; Michael, Gregory, Thomas, Jennifer, Christine and Pamela and by two great-grandsons; Gregory and Michael and a great-great grandson Kingston.
Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10:00 am until the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Addie will be laid to rest at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway beside her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
