Ann Tomko, 88, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in the Newark and Hillside area, Ann resided in South Plainfield for over forty years before settling to Edison. Ann initially worked in the office of NAPA then Telcordia as an administrative assistant. A communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa of South Plainfield, Ann loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also enjoyed going to the movies and dinner with her close girlfriends. She is predeceased by her husband John Tomko; son, John "Jackie" Tomko; grandson, Edward Billian IV and all her siblings. Surviving are her daughters; Gail Billian and husband Edward of Milford, Debra Capozzi and husband Michael of Hillsborough and Linda Viola and husband Anthony of Irving, TX and formerly of Warren, NJ. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Theresa Billian, Kim Kipila, Lauren Higgins and Anthony Viola and great grandsons, Drew, Nicholas and Jaxon. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home Funeral Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
