Jeanette Ford, 60, of Rahway, entered into eternal life on December 24, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, NJ to Albert, Sr. and Mary Ford (nee Artis), she was a graduate of Barringer High School in Newark, she went on to complete her undergraduate work at Rutgers University in Newark, before graduating from Montclair State University with her Master's Degree. Jeanette worked as a substitute teacher for Orange Public Schools before working in Brooklyn, NY Public Schools as a teacher. She recently worked as a Senior Network Administrator at Johnson and Johnson for the past ten years. Jeanette was a very spiritual person who attended church as much as she could. She kept up with trends in technology and was very knowledgeable when it came to computers. Jeanette enjoyed action movies and adored LeBron James. She was a talented musician who played five instruments and loved Jazz music. Most of all, she enjoyed the quality time spent with her family. Surviving are her loving daughter, Lauren Rice, 6 siblings: Roy, Leonard, Albert, Regina, Gail and Leona Ford as well as her extended family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00PM at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.
