Obituary of Walter M. Grab

Walter M. Grab, 89, passed away Wednesday January 23, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. Born and raised in Hunderdon, NJ Walter has been a resident of Martinsville for almost 60 years with his late wife, Mary. Honorably discharged from the United States Army, Walter served our country during the Korean War. He went on to work initially as a pattern maker with R. Hoe, and then started his own business as a painter. He retired with Bank of America in maintenance. Walter enjoyed bowling and working with his hands. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Mary Grab; surviving are his son, Michael Grab and wife Karen of Piscataway, two grandchildren, Kaitlin and Michael and brother, Robert Grab. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by burial in Bound Brook Cemetery. Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
