PiscatawayEarl Welch, 73 passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville NJ. He was born in Japan N.C. and lived in Edison before moving to Piscataway in 1968.Earl was a carpenter for over 50 years. He worked for Hannon Floor Covering in Newark NJ retiring in 2004. He was a member of Local Union 2212.Earl is survived by his wife Viola Welch of Piscataway. His daughters Sharon Scanlan of Basking Ridge NJ and Sheila Bodle of Clearwater FL. Earl has many surviving brothers and sisters in N.J. and N.C. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.Visitation will be Tuesday July 8 from 3-6PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd. Piscatway NJ 08854. Cremation following will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to a local food bank of your choice.
