Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Bosco, Jr.
Middlesex, NJ - Anthony Bosco, Jr., known to all his family and friends as Tony, passed away suddenly in the early hours of Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Kearny, Tony has been a longtime resident of Piscataway and Middlesex.
During his life, Tony treasured the countless bonds he maintained with childhood friends, hunting and fishing buddies, and especially family. When he wasn’t working as a contractor, Tony could be found fishing in the local woods and streams and making meals with fresh vegetables from his garden and the catch-of-the-day. Tony was a gifted hunter who loved to share his talents by guiding teams through the thicket for the ‘big one’. Of course, this meant they were captive to his many tales, where his arrow always found its mark. It’s amazing how he couldn’t find his wallet half the time, but if you asked Tony about a rack on the wall from 20 years ago, he could recall the details like it was yesterday. Tony was a boy at heart who cherished time with his nephews and niece, always keeping in touch through letters and stories about his local adventures and travels in the Alaskan wilderness. He was a caring son, and loving brother and friend. A gentle soul, Tony will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched with kindness and humor.
Predeceased by his father Anthony, Tony leaves behind his loving family; mother Isabel (Jansen) Bosco, sister Linda Devine (Dennis) of Warren along with their two sons; Danny and Mike, sister Karen Ambrose of Clinton and her two sons; Christopher and Alex, and sister Barbara Chabot (Bob) of Milford and their three children; David, Emma Marie and Conor.
Visitation will be held at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4-7:30 pm with life reflections and eulogies beginning at 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the near future.
