Still in shock. First time I met him is in middle school when we rode the bus together. We use to compare our sneakers and share the same love of music. When high school approach. We grew apart but one thing I won’t forget is his smile. Rest in peace my friend.

David’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

David I wish you knew how much you shaped so many memories of middle school and high school. I wish you knew how impressed I was with your knowledge of all things and your reign man memory. I wish you knew that I remembered Catcher in the Rye was your favorite book. I wish you knew that your laugh and pranks still put a smile on my face. I wish you knew that I not only thought of you as a chef in the kitchen but also in life. You took everything and made it delicious, comforting and a lasting memory for the soul. I wish you knew so many things but something tells me you did. Job well done here on earth. Sleep in peace David Berger (first and last name of course!)
Mr. & Mrs. Berger and Gabriel- Thank You for sharing him with us. We are all better because he blessed us with his presence and wit. Praying for you always.

It is with great sadness the loss of David and our deepest condolences are with Steven and Carol, Gabriel and his extended family. Someone wrote this about the loss of a son…….”No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.” Rest in Peace David.

I will always remember David as a great friend and a tremendously talented Chef. I was fortunate to work with him for many years, and I will always be thankful for all he taught me. Although he left us way too soon, David will live on in our hearts, and we will remember him always for the incredible person he was.
