Obituary of Dorothy E. Lyons

Edison – Dorothy E. Lyons, 89, passed away early Monday morning June 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in East Orange to the late Timothy and Elsie Lyons, Dorothy resided in Metuchen before settling in Edison over thirty-five years ago. The last 5 of which were at Clara Barton, where she had many caring friendships. 

A medical administrative assistant for Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, Dorothy loved swimming down the shore and at Metuchen Swim Club where she had many friends. She looked forward to family events and always enjoyed being in their company.

Predeceased by her three siblings, Robert and Frank Lyons and Anne Gorman; surviving are her sister-in-law, Grace Lyons along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 9AM.  A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church at 10AM.

Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
