Obituary of Rajendra K. Budhan
South Plainfield – Rajendra K. Budhan, 70 died on Monday, October 7, 2019 in the Haven Hospice at JKF Medical Center in Edison surrounded by his family.
Born in Guyana, South America, Raj moved to Canada then settled to the United States in the mid 1970’s. He and his family have been long time South Plainfield residents.
He had worked as a mechanic and electrician for most of his life, but will be forever remembered as a Poet who defied the odds, beating death several times before taking ill recently.
His surviving family to continue his legacy are his beloved wife, Jagranie ( Ramsingh ), three sons and A daughter, A.J. his wife Sharada, Raj and his wife, Devanie, and Jay and his fiancé Fa, a niece who he raised as his daughter, Seeta and eight grandchildren; Neil, Julie, Vishan, Ravin, Cameron, Camille, Kevin and Devin. He also leaves behind an extensive family consisting of siblings; Deo, Sunny, Neela and Leela as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws.
Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 5-9 PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ, 07080.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 beginning at 9AM with gathering until 9:45 AM at which time services will begin.
Cremation will follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.
