Obituary of John E. Goldman
Middlesex, NJ – John E. Goldman died suddenly in the early hours of October 18, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick just one day after his 61st birthday. Born in Elizabeth to the late Edward and Marie (Degregorio) Goldman, he grew up in Roselle and has lived in Middlesex for the past thirty-five years.
He was a truck jockey with Penske in Edison and had a passion for horses. He enjoyed horse racing, owned several successful horses throughout his life and spent countless hour’s drag racing cars with his children at Old Bridge Twp. Raceway Park.
John leaves behind his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Linda (Hilpert) Goldman, daughter Holly, a United States Marine, and son Nicholas, a Dunellen Police Officer, and his wife Carol of Middlesex. He is also survived by his two cherished grandsons, Joshua and Michael to whom he was affectionately known as "Poppy" along with many other family members and friends.
A gathering celebrating his life will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
