Jim was one of those individuals who, if you got to spend any time with him, made you realize without even trying, that this life we've been given, is to be lived and enjoyed! I remember back in 2002, the rock group "The WHO" was playing at MSG and Jim was a big fan. He contacted me and asked if I wanted to see "THE WHO" and naturally being a fan too, I said "Yes". He offered to treat me to the concert and am sure the tickets were not easy to get but he got them. We had a fun time at that concert and laughed afterwards at how "old" the rockers got but not us :))).
A good guy who left many paths he walked, lined with flowers of kindness and not with weeds. Rest in Peace Jim - you are missed!

Jimmy old friend. I'm putting up your high school senior yearbook picture so everyone can see what a beer drinking, cigarette smoking, basketball playing, girl chasing Stud you were back in the day. Thanks for being such a great friend. Sorry our retirement plans got cut short, Betty and I are going to miss you – Zingo

I have known Jim practically my whole life, he lived across the street from me and I could not have imagined a better neighbor than him. The amount of favors he has helped my family and I out with is countless whether it was watching our cats while we were away, plowing our sidewalk or letting us use his truck for stuff, Jim was always there. Saturday morning was devastating for my family and I as we saw an ambulance over Jim's and ran over to see what was going on and were informed the tragic news. We were there to say our goodbyes to not only a great neighbor or a great friend but to someone we viewed as a part of our family. From ever since I can remember him and my parents were the best of friends. My dad and him would let me go over there when I was younger and pay poker with them, just the 3 of us hanging out. Even as I got older, I would try to make my way over there to meet up with my dad, Jim and Gloria to share a beer with them and watch whatever sports game was on. I wish we all had many more nights to have some beers and crack jokes together but I know he will have one up there waiting for us when it's our time. I miss you already Jimbo, I love you like the family because you are family. Until we meet again bud.

My grandpa was my bestfreind. I wish he didn’t leave us so soon but I know he’s watching over us and will make sure we are okay up in heaven. I wish I wasn’t so busy with school so I could call him more often than I did. Poppy could talk your head off for hours. He promised he would take me to St. Martin this year. Hopefully my mother and I can go in tribute to him. The last time I saw him was two months ago and he bought me sushi and strawberry’s because he knows it’s my favorite. Every easter we would come and he would give me and my brother easter gift baskets with a huge chocolate bunny. It took us days to eat all the chocolate lol. Also he would hide Easter eggs with change in them and give me and my brother baskets to find them. We ran around his backyard for hours. I miss you so much and I love you. Forever in my heart poppy❤️

I’ve worked with Jim for over 20 years. In the past year I started working in our Fairview office and got to see him on a more regular basis. He always greeted me with a loud “Lynn’s here!” I feel very lucky that I saw him this past Friday. I send my deepest condolences to Jim’s family. He will truly be missed by his Micros family.

Jim was such a great friend — unfailingly kind, generous, positive, and fun. He was definitely a "give a stranger the shirt off his back" kind of guy. And he threw himself wholeheartedly into everything he did, from work to fishing, to rooting for his beloved Mets and Jets, to spending time with his loved ones. . . . I am truly shocked and saddened by Jim's passing. My goes out to his family and to his friends, so many of them life-long. He will be missed and remembered fondly by all.
