Obituary of Elaina Annmarie Cassaro

Elaina Cassaro, 51, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, Elaina resided in Staten Island for the majority of her life where she worked at a Jewelry Manufacture Outlet as a Receptionist and Sales Assistant for many years, before settling to Piscataway. Port Richmond High School graduate, Elaina also studied to be a beautician at McKee Vocational High School. An animal lover, she shared a special connection to cats. When she wasn’t rescuing and caring for the neighborhood cats, Elaina enjoyed cooking or baking for her family and loved ones. Predeceased by her father, Angelo Cassaro; surviving are her mother, Mary L. Cassaro; two sisters, Donna Basch and her husband Jeremy of Middlesex and Debbie Hoft and husband Peter of Staten Island and her niece, Josie and her godson and nephew, Jimmy. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 8:15AM in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Mount Virgin, Middlesex at 9:30am. Burial will be follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on both Thursday and Friday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.
