Joseph J. Sulovski, 89, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Irvington and raised in Newark to the late John and Anna (Krisanda) Sulovski, Joseph was a resident of South Plainfield for almost sixty years. Joseph settled to his beach home in Lavallette shortly after his wife’s death in 2019. Joseph was the proud owner and diamond setter at Ski Setting Co. located in Springfield and Union and owner of Ski Jewelers in Greenbrook. He was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and had a love for the NY Mets and NY Giants. An avid saltwater fisherman, he also enjoyed spending time on his boat with family. Predeceased by his wife Virginia in February of 2019 and by his brothers John and Martin, surviving are his brother Frederick of Tryon, NC and his children; Joseph and his wife Laura of Bethlehem Township, Michele Ford and her husband James of Green Brook, Peter and his wife Lisa of Milford and Ginger of Cape May, eight grandchildren; Joseph, Benjamin, Jake, Michelle, Jenna, Leanne, Peter J. and James and six great-grandchildren; Milana, Barrett, Leo, Luke, Isabella and Joey. Joseph will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Hollywood Cemetery in Union on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the South Plainfield James W.
