Mr. Sumner was my band director at Pekin High School
My Dad, Buster Crockett was President of PTO, who organized a fund raiser for new band uniforms. Mr. Sumner instilled a love of all types of music in me.

Mr. Sumner was our high school band director for my 105h thru 12th grades. Will always remember him and his dedication to music. He built our band program to a much higher level. Thoroughly enjoyed band. Had a true learning and growing experience from a dedicated teacher.
In additional to instrumental music--the concerts and marching band; he also introduced us to musical culture. We attended operas at University of Louisville and IU Bloomington. We all were so fortunate to have had him as our band director and having spent 3 years with him during the very early time of his outstanding musical career.

To Rochelle, Kevin and Family, Chris and Family: We were so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband and dad. He was such a nice person. Remember talking to him over the years at family parties. I will never forget how every time Julie and Chris would move to another house he was always there to help clean and volunteered to clean the bathroom. R.I.P. Floyd. Please tell my Mom hi from me. May God always bless you. Love, Wally & Nancy Sasso
