Gennaro Baratta, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Ostigliano, Italy. Mr. Baratta came to the United States in 1976.
He resided in Dunellen for a short time before settling to South Plainfield.
A communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield, Gennaro enjoyed gardening, was very handy and loved making his homemade wine.
He is survived by his wife Velia of South Plainfield; daughters, Joanne Loffredo and her husband Anthony of Green Brook and Ivana Palms and her husband Filomeno of South Plainfield; sons, Carmine Baratta and his wife Angela of South Plainfield and Severino Baratta and his wife Janice of Old Bridge, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Entombment will be held in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
