Obituary of Edwin Delice:
Edwin Delice was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Magalie Phanord and Edner Delice, on November 10th, 1995. After surviving the earthquake, on January 12, 2010, her father decided to move to the United States and on May 28th, 2011, they found themselves in Ocean Township, New Jersey. After graduating from Ocean Township High School, Edwin completed her Associates Degree in Nutrition, then enrolled in the Radiology Program at Brookdale Community College in August 2019.
A young woman with an active social life, Edwin cherished her friendships. She was also an avid fitness and nutrition enthusiast and could always be found either going to or coming from the gym. However, Edwin’s true passions were learning languages, spending time with family, and being around kids. She was a huge fan of a solid K-drama or Telenovela. She aspired to build of build an orphanage in Haiti, and help meet the dire needs of the youth.
However, before her dreams could come to fruition, Edwin was diagnosed with stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer in the September of 2019. She valiantly fought her diagnosis, but after nearly 9 months of courage and grace, her Lord called her home on May 26th, 2020.
Although, we have come to learn the pain of losing a loved one with so much more to offer, we take comfort in knowing that she is with God. We recognize we have been blessed with the opportunity to have loved and shared in Edwin’s passion for life.
Our beloved Edwin has reunited with her Mother, Magalie Phanord, and her grandmother, Elvita Veillard. She will continue to be loved and remembered by: her father, Edner and her stepmother, Hollica Delice; her siblings: Georgina Cerisier, Tamara Delice-Lubin and her husband Lovensky B. Lubin; Christler Delice, Hacheley Delice, and Alexander Delice; and Grandfather: Edmond and his wife Marie Jacqueline Delice; nephews: Jaïro Georghiño and Brenn François; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
