Obituary of Joseph M. Coppola, Sr.
Piscataway, NJ – Joseph Coppola, Sr., 75, passed away on May 27, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Newark to the late Anthony and Christine (Chrenko) Coppola, Joe settled in Piscataway with his wife Margaret over forty years ago to raise their family.
Prior to retirement, Joe worked as a sheet metalist, union carpenter, and went on to open two successful businesses in South Plainfield; Arbor Interiors, Inc. and JAFCO Supply Corp. He had a love for music, magic, fishing, football, hockey and horse racing. Joe liked to play cards with his brothers, enjoyed a good meal and belonged to the South Plainfield Elks #2298.
Predeceased by his parents and four brothers; Anthony, Frank, Eddie and Bobby, Joe leaves behind his loving wife Margaret, daughter Michelle LaRosa and her husband Brian and son Joseph, Jr.. He will be missed dearly by two grandchildren; Vincent and Ashley, his sister Christine Reis and her husband Ray and brother Peter and his wife Marlene along with many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current restrictions, Joe had a private family gathering at Piscataway Funeral Home and was entombed at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or to the National Kidney Foundation.
