Age: 92 * Allentown, PA

 

Allentown, PA – Mary (Kozar) Haiko, 92, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Holy Family Senior Living in Bethlehem, PA.  Born in New York, NY to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Fuschko) Kozar, Mary grew up in Europe, lived in NY and Metuchen prior to raising her family in South Plainfield.  In 2008, just a year before the death of her husband Stanley, Mary relocated to Pennsylvania.

 

Mary enjoyed her time raising her family as a homemaker.  Later in life, she worked as a store clerk for the former Garden of Paper Store in South Plainfield and a secretary for an Architect in Metuchen., NJ. She was a congregant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church for over 50 years.

 

Predeceased by her husband Stanley, Mary leaves behind two daughters; Connie Haiko-Nielsen and her husband Ron of Brick and Sandra Tagg and her husband Bruce of Allentown, grandchildren Justin Tagg of Allentown, PA. She also has twosisters; Beti Kelco of GA and predeceased by Anne Fitzgerald of PA.

 

Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Saturday, September 5, 2020 beginning at 10:00 am.  Catholic prayers will be held at 11:00 am and Mary will be entombed with her husband at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia.
