Obituary of Margaret Ann Witkowski
Metuchen – Margaret Ann (Picaroni) Witkowski, 81, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Elizabeth to the late Anthony and Anna (Nardone) Picaroni, Margaret moved to South Plainfield in 1967. Margaret settled to Monroe in 2001 and in 2016, relocated back to the Edison/Metuchen area.
Margaret first entered the workforce working for Bell Atlantic. She then owned and operated A Present Place gift store in South Plainfield for many years prior to working at the popular and former Kinney Shoes as well as the former Stern's Department Store also formerly located in South Plainfield.
In addition, Mrs. Witkowski was also a former communicant to Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield.
Predeceased by her husband Alfred B. Witkowski in 1997, Margaret leaves behind her three sons; Eric and his wife Fay of Metuchen, Jeffrey and his wife Nancy of Plainfield and Robert of Monroe as well as four grandchildren; Christopher, Sarah, Nathan and Joseph and her three siblings; Carol Decarlo, Joseph Nardone and Rose Marie Garbarini.
Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 beginning at 6pm followed by a concluding religious service at 8:30pm.
Cremation services will take place privately.
