Piscataway – Marlene Lynn Petriello, 52, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.

Born in Morristown, Marlene has resided in Piscataway for the past 28 years.

Marlene spent her career as a branch manager at Bank of America for 20 years before dedicating her life to her daughter and husband.

Marlene always had a smile on her face and a welcoming nature.  She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for family and friends. She was a master planner of holiday dinners and a true believer in family traditions.  Anyone who knew her, loved her famous whoopie pies. Marlene was an avid Jets fan who loved spending Sundays watching football. But most of all, Marlene was a remarkable person, a loving wife and devoted mother. Her husband and daughter were the center of her world.

Marlene could always be seen around local schools volunteering and fundraising.

Predeceased by her father in law, John Petriello and her brother, Nick DeGirolamo.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph M. Petriello and daughter Gianna Marie both of Piscataway; brothers in law, John Petriello and wife Lisa and James Petriello and mother in law, Virginia Petriello.

She will also be missed by her five nephews, Anthony, Rocco, Jordan, Stephen and Jason; her godson, Jackson, and brothers, Griffin and Clayton as well as her beloved friends and the countless lives she touched.
